The week beginning January 22nd is Big Energy Saving Week. This is a national campaign aimed at supporting you to find a way to save money on your energy bills. Coventry CA will be delivering outreach sessions at the Central Library and energy issue-related question and answer sessions through facebook…and more.
If you want to know more about the national campaign visit the national website at www.bigenergysavingweek.org.uk . For simple facts on fuel poverty, the impact of cold homes on family health and suggestions on how to save energy in your home find the ‘Energy Saving’ section within the campaigns pages of this website.
BESW is now an annual event. Citizens Advice, funded by the Department for Business Energy and Industrial Strategy and working with partners such as National Energy Action, support local offices to promote key messages about energy efficiency and energy use, and encourage them to actively support energy consumers to check their bills, switch their energy supplier (if relevant) and save money – ‘check-switch-save’.
Coventry CA will be promoting key messages through social and traditional media, delivering outreach sessions between 2-4pm on Tuesday January 23rd and Thursday January 25th at Coventry Central Library and taking part in two energy-related question and answer sessions, on Tuesday and Thursday between 10am and 12 noon, through their facebook page.
CCA is asking you to get involved. Get your energy bills out, consider the last time you checked to see if you were on the cheapest tariff, and either ask your energy supplier to put you on their cheapest tariff or contact an energy expert advice agency to see how you could be saving on your bills. If you think you are fine help your neighbour or a relative to check their bills.
CCA wants you to save money but keep warm. Get the best advice and feel the benefit.
