Our Gaming & Gambling Related Harms Prevention Project raises awareness of the harms associated with gaming and gambling, helping people in Coventry understand the risks and access support if they need it. Funded by the Office for Health Improvement and Disparities (OHID), our project is delivered by a wider partnership of Citizens Advice charities from across the network, working together to reach communities across the West Midlands. Locally, our passionate, trained Community Engagement Workers deliver free, engaging presentations to community groups across Coventry.
Our sessions cover:
- What gaming and gambling related harms look like, and how they can affect individuals, families and communities
- How to spot the early signs of harm
- Where to go for further support and advice
- Practical, real-world information delivered in an engaging, relatable way
We work in partnership with specialist organisations, people with lived and living experience of these harms, and a university research partner, to make sure our approach is well-informed and effective.
WHO IT’S FOR
We deliver sessions to young people’s and adult community groups across Coventry, particularly those who may be at greater risk of experiencing gaming or gambling related harms.
