The Major Trauma Signposting Partnership is here to support people who have experienced serious injuries, as well as their families and carers. Working alongside hospital teams within University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire, our trained Citizens Advice adviser provides free, independent support to help patients deal with the practical challenges that often come after a traumatic injury. This includes speaking to patients at their bedside and offering containing support until hospital discharge.
We offer advice on a wide range of issues, such as benefits, housing, finances and accessing rehabilitation. Our aim is to make things feel more manageable at a difficult time, helping people understand their options and connect with the right support. We always provide free, impartial advice, so patients can make informed choices that are right for them.
By offering early support, the service helps reduce stress and improve recovery for patients and their families. It also helps us understand what works best, so we can continue to improve support for people affected by Major Trauma incidences and make a positive difference to their long-term wellbeing.
